- Hardcover: 240 pages Pros : One of this book's greatest draws is the clarity of its instructions. Drawings are used liberally to illustrate Eleanor's techniques in a step-by-step manner. The backs of quilt blocks are even shown, for example, to demonstrate how to correctly press seams for the best results. This amount of detail is very helpful to anyone unfamiliar with strip quilting techniques. "Still Stripping" is more than the typical "how-to" quilting book. In addition to projects, tips and techniques, Eleanor include anecdotes, family photos and some personal history. In some ways, this book feels more like sharing an enjoyable conversation with an old friend. Cons : Although the book features many descriptive illustrations, few photographs of quilts or techniques are used. Including more would have increased the book's visual appeal.
