The EZ3 frame is one of the most convenient, compact and well-designed hand quilting models from Grace. The EZ3 features a three-rail system that secures each layer of a quilt, making basting unnecessary. The frame measures only 23 inches from front to back, although it can reach a maximum depth of 36 inches, and provides a 12 inch work area. Instead, simply turn the large grip knobs and the frame folds down to nine inches. Loading a quilt onto the Grace EZ3 is extremely easy. The frame is equipped with Grace's Fabri-Fast system that includes anodized aluminum rails. To load, align fabric with the slot on the rail, and insert it fully using the Fabri-Fast tubing. It loads quickly and stays in place.

Tension remains constant across your work area as a result of three ratchet wheels included in the EZ3's design. Each wheel is equipped with stops to prevent tension slipping. Additional tension control is possible by using Grace's optional bungee clamps. These clamps provide additional tension from the side, and are relatively simple to use. Clamp your fabric, pull the bungee cord taut and fasten it in place in the frame's slot.

Adjusting the EZ3 frame is easier than many other models. Rather than wing nuts, the frame features large, easily gripped knobs. Quilters with arthritis or hand-strength issues will enjoy the convenience of this feature.

Extensions for the EZ3 are designed to provide the best performance. The rails' width is uniform across their length as a result of inner connectors. As a result, fabric rolls smoothly, providing nice, even working conditions for stitching.
